Multicultural Students

The University of Northern Iowa offers a supportive and diverse environment for its students, faculty/staff and visitors.

The Panther Legacy

Since the earliest days of our existence, the University of Northern Iowa has educated and supported diverse populations from every state. Those students have been successful in their pursuits by securing an excellent education with the help of an accepting, solid, and affordable learning experience at UNI.

The University of Northern Iowa is ranked second in the "Best Regional Universities (Midwest)" category for public universities, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2014 "America's Best Colleges" guidebook. UNI also was 13th on a combined list of all public and private Midwest regional universities. The university was ranked 22nd on the list last year.

Dedicated and caring support systems, an atmosphere of inclusion with people who want to assist you in your personal and academic success, as well as a strong academic foundation are only some of the things that the University of Northern Iowa can offer you. Consider all of the talents that you bring to our campus. Then, ask yourself how will you become part of the Panther Legacy?
