There aren’t many minorities here nor are there any historically black Greeks on campus.
I'm involved in Ethnic Student Promoters, Black Student Union and Black Males Leaders Union; being a part of these organizations makes me feel like I have a purpose for going to UNI and it’s makes me feel connected.
So far, so good; overall my classes seem the same to me, but only a few teachers made an impact on me--Kay Weller and Annette Lynch--both made me feel real welcome and helped me out when I needed it. I’m real happy with my major choice because they’re guiding me to become the best that I can possibly be.
The hands-on way of learning and the teachers, who knows the ins and outs of the fashion industry.
I am making it possible for my dreams to come true!
The Union because that’s where I gather with my friends to discuss how we feel and what’s going on in our lives.
Develop good study habits because you will definitely need them in college!
The faculty that helped me out when I was struggling.
Yes to a certain degree by providing me with financial aid so that I will be able to go to classes. Juanita has found ways to help me out whether it’s talking about money problems or just finding new scholarships for which to apply.
Hopefully work at a big shoe company such as Nike or Adidas designing new components and from there open my own business where I can release my own line of sneakers and clothing
