Four Panther women earn Scholar-Athlete honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. | The University of Northern Iowa women’s basketball team had four players named to the 2014 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete team, it was announced Tuesday by league officials.

Brooke Brown earned first-team honors after being named honorable mention a year ago. She has started all 29 games for UNI this season, averaging 8.3 points per game. The junior from Chanhassen, Minn., is a biology major with a 3.98 GPA.

Jen Keitel was named to the Scholar-Athlete second team. She is averaging 13.2 points per game and leads the MVC in field goal percentage at 58.2 percent. The DeWitt native is majoring in criminology and psychology with a 3.32 GPA.

Brittni Donaldson earned honorable mention status. UNI's point guard is averaging 7.6 points per game overall and 10.4 in MVC games. Donaldson is majoring in statistics and actuarial science with a 3.56 GPA.

Stephanie Davison joins Donaldson on the honorable mention squad. She is averaging 10.4 points per game and is a double major in graphic technologies and art and graphic design while holding a 3.74 GPA.
