The Update, the official newsletter of the Colleges of Humanities, Arts and Sciences, is primarily an internal communication piece designed to highlight the achievements of the faculty, staff and students of the college. The Update is designed and managed by the Promotions Team and is distributed to all CHAS faculty, staff and emeritus faculty, in addition to key individuals on campus.
The Update details the events that take place in the colleges. Each department is able to submit monthly news pertaining to their department and faculty achievements. Each department is assigned an issue in which they are given the opportunity to showcase a student and a specific event, program or organization.
Submissions are accepted and encouraged. Online submissions are preferred. Submissions are subject to editorial scrutiny by the marketing and promotions coordinator.
