Students are expected to treat their research experience as a full-time commitment. The student will make oral presentations for their peers and faculty during the course of the 10-week project. At the completion of the program, students will do a poster presentation in conjunction with other CNS students involved in summer research.
Students receive a stipend and two undergraduate credits through CHEM 3600.

A summer research topic seminar will be held Thursday, October 17, at 4:00 p.m. in MSH 201. This is a great chance for students to see research opportunities being offered from our faculty.
The University of Northern Iowa has a long-standing student exchange program with L’ École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR). During the summer 2011, four undergraduate students from UNI participated in this program in Rennes, France where they conducted research in the laboratories of ENSCR faculty members.
