The Schindler Education Center (SEC) is on the north side of campus and is building number 18 on the campus map which provides directions within the campus The UNI web site has directions to campus from anywhere in the state, and a map of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area. Facilities


Schindler Education Center

The Schindler Education Center became the home of the COE soon after UNI became a liberal arts university. Most COE programs and courses are housed here. SEC features several multimedia classrooms and lecture halls.

 

Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC)

The Wellness and Recreation Center houses two programs: the COE's School of Health, Physical Education, and Leisure Services and Wellness and Recreation Services, where students can join a racquetball league, get a massage, or have their body fat tested. In addition to a world-class recreational facility, the WRC features classrooms, faculty offices, and research labs. History>>

 

Human Performace Complex (HPC)

The Human Performance Center is a part of the UNI's Student First Campaign. It is a 2-story, 33,000 sq. ft. facility that promotes a unique community partnership with Allen Memorial Hospital, Cedar Valley Medical Specialists, PC, and Covenant Medical System. The HPC includes space for instructional and outreach programs for the UNI School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Service


University of Northern Iowa Center for Urban Education (UNI-CUE)

UNI- CUE houses the Office of Educational Opportunity Programs and Special Community Services (EOP/SCS).  UNI places a high priority on providing quality education to financially disadvantaged and minority students. EOP/SCS programs are designed and coordinated specifically to meet our students' educational, social, and financial needs. A primary goal for the EOP/SCS staff is to provide supportive services to all project students, thus enhancing the successful completion of the student's  college career.

 

  Freeburg School

 The University of Northern Iowa and the Regents' Center for Early Developmental Education have developed a model early childhood education program in partnership with the Waterloo Community Schools, the R.J. McElroy Trust, Mrs. Janice Freeburg-Cannon, Tri-County Head Start, Allen College and Allen Health Systems, Inc. The program is known as the Freeburg Early Childhood Program and is located in McElroy Hall, on the Allen College campus.
