Educational Opportunity Programs & Special Community Services (EOP/SCS)

Welcome from Robert L. Smith Jr., Executive Director

The University of Northern Iowa places a high priority on providing quality education to financially disadvantaged and minority students. To fulfill this commitment, the university established the Office of Educational Opportunity Programs and Special Community Services (EOP/SCS).

The EOP/SCS is designed and coordinated specifically to meet our students’ educational, social and financial needs. Our staff’s primary goal is to provide supportive services to all project students that will enhance the successful completion of their college career.

The EOP/SCS structure includes the following working components: the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), the Educational Talent Search (ETS), Classic Upward Bound (CUB), the UNI Center for Urban Education (UNI-CUE) and the Iowa Math & Science Academy (IMSA).

If you need additional information, please call 319-433-1231.
