American Printing House for the Blind Event at UNI

The Visual Impairment Teacher Training Program is happy to welcome the American Printing House for the Blind (APH) to the UNI campus on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Kerry Isham, APH Field Services Representative, will provide training in using the ENVISION I and ENVISION II materials, which teach children how to use optical devices for distance and near viewing. The Sensory Learning Kit (SLK) materials will also be presented during the day long training. The SLK materials are intended for use with children who have visual impairments and significant learning needs. The SLK materials are used to assist children in advancing their developmental skills. The training is provided at no cost to participants.
