Curriculum and Instruction Adjunct Instructor

The University of Northern Iowa Department of Curriculum and Instruction seeks individuals for adjunct instructor teaching appointments for the Fall 2014 semester. Reappointments for the Spring 2015 semester may be available. Responsibilities are teaching required course work in one of these areas: literacy and reading, elementary education science methods, elementary education social science methods, and/or elementary education curriculum. Most of the fall courses would be taught on campus during the day, while spring courses might be taught on campus during the day or evening. Three years of recent successful K-8 teaching experience and an MA degree in Literacy and/or Reading are required for successful applicants for positions teaching literacy courses. Three years of recent successful K-6 teaching experience and an MA degree in Elementary Education or a closely related field are required for successful applicants for positions teaching elementary education methods or curriculum courses.
