Why did you choose UNI?

I chose UNI because the College of Education has an excellent reputation among teaching colleges.

What is the best thing about UNI?

The best thing about UNI is the smaller class sizes. A student at UNI can get to know their professors.

Years from now, what will you remember the most about UNI?

Years from now, I will remember how my instructors were passionate about what they taught and the relationships I built with them. I will use a lot of their methods in my own classroom.

What has been your favorite part of your Academic Experience?

I have had an excellent academic experience at UNI. I definitely enjoyed my Human Relations class. It opened me up to opposing viewpoints and diverse experiences. I got the opportunity to meet some important people in the community and also give back to a future generation of UNI students.

What do you like best about your major?

I like history education because it gives me an opportunity to explore other cultures.  I love culture. I think you can learn a lot from other people's experiences. When I become an educator, I will be able to teach others about respect for one another, values and differences.

What do you see your teaching style as?

I will be an interactive teacher, giving students lots of experiences. In the 21st century we can no longer teach kids the way we were taught. They are developing a lot faster and with different methods. Teaching will give me the opportunity to give something back. What better way to reach more people than to teach.
