Master of Arts in Philanthropy & Nonprofit Development to begin Fall 2013

The University of Northern Iowa is accepting applications for its upcoming Philanthropy & Nonprofit Development cohort degree program, beginning the fall of 2013 and leading to a Master of Arts degree. This program is designed for professionals currently employed in philanthropy and nonprofit settings. Students in this program will learn to develop and enhance professional skills and knowledge in the fundraising and nonprofit sectors, further their understanding of ethical policy and legal issues as they relate to philanthropy and nonprofit development, and enhance their knowledge in donor relations, grant writing, advocacy and public funding.

This degree will be earned entirely at a distance, with courses delivered using a combination of desktop video conferencing and online coursework. The program begins in the fall of 2013 using a cohort model in which a group of students moves together through the course sequence, with the degree to be awarded in the summer of 2015.
