UNI to offer Master of Arts in Education: Early Childhood Education at a distance

The University of Northern Iowa is accepting applications for its upcoming Master of Arts in Education degree program in Early Childhood Education, beginning Fall 2013. This program is designed for classroom teachers who hold licensure in one of the Iowa Early Childhood Endorsements (100, 103, 106, 262) and who are teaching children from birth through third grade. Students will learn the theory and practice to become leaders in the field of Early Childhood Education with a focus on curricula, issues, trends, teaching methods, research and leadership roles.

This degree will be earned at a distance, with courses delivered using a combination of desktop video conferencing and online coursework. The program begins in the fall of 2013 using a cohort model in which a group of students moves together through a course sequence, with the degree to be awarded in the spring of 2016.
