Iowa Nursing Home Administration Licensure

According to information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), there will be 16% growth in employment in this field from 2006-2016.

The Iowa Board of Nursing Home Administrators in Des Moines evaluates the qualifications of applicants for nursing home administrator licensure and grants licenses to those who qualify.

The Board establishes rules and regulations to ensure the integrity and competence of licensed Nursing Home Administrators and investigates complaints for unprofessional conduct.

Licensees are responsible for meeting all licensure requirements and should review the rules carefully and frequently. Iowa requires nursing home administrators to have a bachelor's degree.
