University president is part of the move-in team at UNI

President Bill Ruud and Judy Ruud helped students moving in to residence halls on Thursday and Friday.  This is another example of President Ruud's engagement with campus life at UNI.  More than 100 returning students volunteered to help with move-in. Additional volunteer power came from the UNI football team, UNI Career Services staff and UNI Admissions staff.  Target Distribution Center employees and Prairie Lakes Church members also volunteered on the busy move-in days.  "Community and campus-wide support for move-in gives our new and returning students another glimpse at the many of advantages of being a UNI Panther," said Dr. Lyn Redington, Director of Residence Life.  "It is a clear demonstration of the campus and community shared commitment to student success,"  she said.
More than 3500 students had moved into their home-away-from-home at UNI by 4 p.m. on Friday, August 23, Redington said.  A full week of activities welcomes students to UNI and introduces them to UNI traditions.
