Symptoms:

  • Predictable pattern of the following symptoms in the days before your period:
  • Fluid retention/bloating, fatigue, aches, breast soreness, acne, diarrhea or constipation, nausea
  • Mood swings, mild sadness, tension, food cravings, forgetfulness/difficulty concentrating

Home Care/Self Treatment:

  • Maintain healthy diet
  • Avoid salt, caffeine, and alcohol
  • Increase physical activity

Seek Medical Attention if:

  • Symptoms persist beyond third day of menses
  • Feeling significantly depressed or having feelings of hurting yourself
  • Your period is more than 2 weeks late
