HOW TO REGISTER
Online: Click to register online. Registration closes at 5:00pm Thursday, Sept. 4.

In Person: Please contact sororitylife@uni.edu for more information about how to register in person or stop by the Fraternity & Sorority Life office in the Student Involvement Center.

If you are not sure about committing to registering for formal recruitment, or if you would simply like to learn more about sorority life, please fill out this Interest Form and we will contact you to help answer your questions.

REGISTRATION FEE
The Registration Fee for 2014 Fall Formal Recruitment is $25. Recruitment applications will not be complete until the fee is received. The Registration Fee covers your Recruitment Booklet, Bag, 2 Meals, Snacks, and a processing fee. Payments can be made directly online or by cash, check or credit card at the Veridian Branch located in Maucker Union.

REFUNDS
If you decide to cancel your registration, refunds will be granted:

  • Prior to September 4, 2014, full refund of $25
  • After September 4, 2014, no refunds will be given

ACADEMIC RECORD RELEASE
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) prohibits the release of personally identifiable information from students' educational records without their prior written authorization. Exceptions to this policy are limited to: (1) release of such information to a specific list of officials with a legitimate educational interest in the record, (2) the release of such information in response to a court order, health or safety emergency, or approved research project, or (3) the release of public directory information which has not been previously restricted by the student.

Records to be disclosed: High school Grade Point Average, Cumulative College Grade Point Average
Parties to whom the records may be disclosed: Chapter President, Chapter Advisor, Recruitment Chair/New Member Educator, Academic Chair, Inter/National Headquarters Staff, Panhellenic Recruitment Team, Panhellenic Advisor
Purpose of disclosure: For use in the verification of minimum academic standards and to confirm University enrollment
Length of Disclosure: This authorization shall remain in effect for the duration of formal sorority recruitment

I understand that to register for recruitment, I must be a regularly enrolled, full-time student at the University of Northern Iowa. By registering for recruitment, I authorize the Student Involvement Center at the University of Northern Iowa to verify my academic eligibility with the Registrar's Office. Furthermore, I authorize the Student Involvement Center to release my grade point average to all Panhellenic Association Sororities to be used exclusively for membership selection purposes.


PARTICIPATION IN FALL FORMAL RECRUITMNET
Except for illness, emergency or a UNI sponsored event (i.e. UNI Spirit Squad, Band, class, etc.), I must participate in all recruitment sponsored events.  The Recruitment Team must be contacted prior to scheduled events if I am not participating.  Failure to do so will result in my dismissal from the Fall Formal Recruitment process. If you have a question about what is considered a UNI sponsored event, contact us at sororitylife@uni.edu.

I must consult my Recruitment Counselor (Rho Gamma) before withdrawing from Fall Formal Recruitment.  In the event I feel I must withdraw from Fall Formal Recruitment, I understand I must go to my Rho Gamma at the end of the day and sign an official withdraw form. 

INFORMATION DISCLOSURE
By submitting my registration, I agree to the terms listed above and allow my registration information and grade point average to be made available to the University of Northern Iowa Panhellenic Association member chapters as part of the recruitment process.
