Kaparthi Named UNI's First CIO
Shashi Kaparthi, director of the UNI Office of Institutional Research, and a faculty member in the College of Business Administration, has been named UNI's inaugural Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Effective Oct. 11, UNI's Information Technology Services and the Office of Institutional Research will be combined, eliminating one senior-level administrative position. Information Technology Services (ITS) is comprised of ITS-Network Services, ITS-Educational Technology, ITS-User Services, ITS-Information Systems and ITS-Administration. Kaparthi will report to Gloria Gibson, executive vice president and provost, and will be a member of President Allen's cabinet.
