Not every general studies major will be prepared for all of the jobs listed below. The curriculum selected and work/extracurricular experiences will affect the following career options:

Many career and graduate school opportunities exist for individual studies majors. Students who acquire necessary skills and knowledge through major course work, part-time and summer jobs, cooperative education and volunteer work are usually able to obtain positions appropriate to their individual needs and career goals. Some students have found their individual studies major curriculum was excellent preparation for graduate school study.
