About The Band

historyThe "Panther" Marching Band, the largest student organization on the University of Northern Iowa campus, combines "Panther" spirit, pride, musicianship, and more than 120 years of tradition to create renowned gridiron excitement. Known for the "Professional" approach to performance, the Panther Marching Band is recognized for its dynamic style, innovative drill, and sensitive musical interpretation while accomplishing all this with "Class." Each year, the PMB thrillsl audiences at home football games in the UNI-Dome, as well as during road trips to other university stadiums and exhibitions.

The Panther Marching Band’s pregame and halftime shows contain hundreds of drill formations, coordinated to exciting music written by some of the leading arrangers in the country. Central to these field performances are sophisticated routines by the UNI Colorguard and Feature Twirler, as well as professional dance choreography by the UNI Dance Team.
