A letter from a student...November 10, 2010 Dr. Galyen: I'm emailing you because I have a few things I wanted to say. I wanted to tell you personally how much marching band has meant to me. When I was in high school, I was a cheerleader, and I only marched one year, and if you would have told me I was going to be in marching band in college I wouldn't have believed you. But I got talked into it, and I love it so much! I have met so many nice people in the band and it has helped me so much with getting settled here at UNI. I'm so glad I went out and I wouldn't trade it for anything! This past semester has been so great. I think not only did marching band make me a more confident trombone player, but just a better person in general. I always leave marching band with a smile.
