Board of Regents and UNI faculty union reach collective bargaining agreement

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The following is a joint statement from United Faculty President, Daniel Power and Tom Evans, general counsel for the Board of Regents, State of Iowa. United Faculty is the faculty union at the University of Northern Iowa.

"We are pleased to announce the Board of Regents, State of Iowa and UNI's United Faculty have reached agreement on a new two-year collective-bargaining agreement that will go into effect July 1, 2013. The contract will now go before the United Faculty members and the Board of Regents for final approval. United Faculty, the Board of Regents and university administration look forward to continuing to work together in the best interests of the university."
