Diana Joseph to read from memoir at UNI on Tuesday

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa "Writers Talk" reading series will host a memoir reading by Diana Joseph at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 17, in 161 Baker Hall on the UNI campus. This event is free and open to the public.

Diana Joseph teaches at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from Syracuse University in 1996.

Joseph is the author of the memoir "I'm Sorry You Feel That Way: The Astonishing But True Story of a Daughter, Sister, Slut, Wife, Mother and Friend to Man and Dog," and the short story collection "Happy or Otherwise." Joseph's work has been listed in Best American Short Stories, Best American Essays and the Pushcart Prize. Her memoir won the Great Lakes Colleges Association Award for Creative Nonfiction.
