CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Registration is now open for the management workshop "What's Up With That? Analyzing Performance Problems" hosted by the University of Northern Iowa Executive Development Center. The workshop is 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 14, in the Business and Community Services Building on the UNI campus. The registration deadline is June 7.

"If you are trying to figure out why employees continue to do what they do even after they've been told not to; or they won't do what they have been asked to do, then this workshop will help you," said Kim Recker, program manager for the UNI Executive Development Center.

Instructor Amy Campbell will take participants through a performance discrepancy flowchart to identify the root cause to the personnel problem and then have them outline a plan to resolve the issue.

The workshop cost is $249 per person. UNI Alumni Association members receive a 10-percent discount. Businesses can purchase a consortium membership for $1,999, which entitles the business to 10 seats to any of the 2012 management training workshops. Half-day workshops count as a half seat. After the 10 seats are used, additional seats can be purchased at a discounted rate of $175 per seat.

For more information or to register, contact the UNI Executive Development Center at 319-273-5851 or execdev@uni.edu.

The Executive Development Center is a program of Business and Community Services, a division of the UNI College of Business Administration.
