CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa Panther Speakers series will offer a free webinar, "Being Globally Competent," presented by Chris Schrage, instructor of marketing. The webinar will be held from noon to 12:50 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4.

Global competency focuses on understanding what it takes to thrive in today's global society. Schrage has researched the international aspect of management and marketing, and is involved in development programs in Ghana and Nicaragua.

"Through traveling and developing relationships the past 20 years, I have seen many blunders made by very intelligent, competent people," said Schrage. "It is my hope that all will get a fresh perspective and that the session will provide a more open awareness about what it means to be globally competent."
