CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa will host the Iowa Regents Institutions Disability Awareness Summit from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the Commons on the UNI campus. The event will promote inclusiveness with a focus on accessible and assistive technology for people with disabilities.
The keynote speaker for the event is Timothy Creagan, a senior accessibility specialist from the United States Access Board. Creagan is a nationally recognized expert on accessible electronic and information technology, and will speak on disability rights and more accessible technology.
