UNI to offer new health education endorsement courses online

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa is accepting applications for courses leading to the Iowa Secondary School Health Education Teaching Endorsement. Individuals holding a current Iowa teaching certificate or approved equivalent can take the state-approved courses to earn this endorsement.

With the exception of one hands-on course offered on the UNI campus Monday, June 16, through Thursday, June 19, endorsement courses are offered online, many via UNI Guided Independent Study (GIS). With GIS, student can enroll at any time, work at their own pace and take up to nine months to complete a course.
