UNI's dance troupes to host fall performance

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Northern Iowa's dance companies, Orchesis and International Dance Theatre, will present their annual fall dance concert from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18, and 2 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 20, at Bengtson Auditorium in Russell Hall. 

The companies will perform a variety of dance styles, including hip-hop, ballet, ballroom, contemporary, tap and multicultural. The event is free of charge and open to all ages.

Orchesis is a UNI dance company composed of students interested in pursuing dance choreography, performance and production. The International Dance Theatre is a student-based performance group sponsored by the UNI School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services, which strives to expose students to a variety of dance and cultural traditions from around the world.
