Iowa School Energy Challenge

The Iowa School Energy Challenge engaged students in middle and high schools across Iowa to help them learn the science of energy and make wise energy choices. The initiative aimed to educate youth and staff about the benefits of energy conservation and energy efficiency, and to motivate students to play a more active role in how their school uses energy.

The Iowa School Energy Challenge impacted approximately 2,100 students and their teachers throughout 20 schools in Iowa. Students, teachers and staff were introduced to real-world  situations to conserve energy and discovered how simple changes in their own behavior can have an overall impact in reducing the schools energy footprint.
