Please join us for a Graduation Open House event at the Office of the Registrar! Our Record Analysts will be meeting with candidates on an individual basis to verify graduation eligibility for either Fall 2011 or Spring 2012. If you plan to complete degree requirements for Fall 2011 or Spring 2012, please plan to stop by 115 Gilchrist Hall during your designated week. We look forward to seeing all of you soon!
If you are looking for the Application for Graduation (Fall 2011), it is not yet available. In conjunction with the new SIS, we will be unveiling a new Application for Graduation - Hooray! It is currently in the testing phase and is set to be available to students in the next week or two. Please check back around mid- to late-September. In the mean time, please do not file a paper application, as they will not be accepted nor processed. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
Graduates who would like to order a commencement DVD from the Spring 2011 ceremony can do so by completing the UNI Commencement DVD Order Form . This is a simple form for requesting commencement DVDs and not a shopping cart type of site. Credit cards are not accepted. Please call 319-273-7820 if you have questions.
Students who are enrolled in a combination of residential and Continuing Education courses will have their bills adjusted as appropriate and necessary by Continuing and Distance Education to ensure that their tuition is at a full time rate and not above that. These adjustments will take awhile to processes, so please be patient. If you have any questions regarding the additional billing, please contact Continuing Education.
Students registering for courses Fall 2011 and beyond, who would like to take a course on an audit or pass/fail basis, will need to submit the Audit and Pass/Fail Request WebForm to our office for processing and approval. Please read the policies that correspond to each grading basis fully prior to submitting your request; for your convenience, the appropriate policies are viewable on the WebForm.
Students who are trying to register for courses, but who are receiving error messages, should utilize the Registration Help Form. Upon receipt, our office will review the information to determine whether or not the system responded appropriately. A detailed response will be received within 36 hours. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we move forward in the implementation of our new student information system. We believe you will find the functionalities and capabilities of the system to be convenient and user-friendly when registering for future coursework!
Security set-up is complete for individuals who have attended one of the recent registration training sessions. However, this set-up continues to occur for other individuals.
The following serve as a reference for how to remove advising holds in the new system, depending upon your role.
Graduating seniors are being asked to take an hour to help UNI gather evidence about learning related to general areas of skill gained from a university education. In return for that hour, seniors get a chance to win a Nook e-Reader, as well as earn free graduation apparel. Being eligible for the prizes involves completing a 40-minute test called Proficiency Profile, which is accessible online.
In an effort to be more environmentally friendly and efficient, our office has made the Schedule Change Request (formerly known as the "Pink Slip") into an electronic WebForm. This form is for departmental schedulers; they can use this form to make a change to one of the sections in the Schedule of Classes as appropriate and necessary. Please note, this form is NOT for students who are trying to make changes to their schedule. Please click here to navigate to the Schedule Change Requests main page.
Record Analysts are available to meet with students from 1:15-4:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. To ensure that everyone gets all of the assistance they need, no appointments will be taken. Instead, meetings are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so you may have to wait for a little while before speaking with your Record Analyst. If you are unable to meet during this block of time, please feel free to e-mail or call your Record Analyst with your questions, comments, or concerns. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience!
