All Week, International Education Week
International Education Week (IEW), Nov. 14-18, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. A special kick-off ceremony Monday, November 14 at noon in the University Room of Maucker Union will include a welcome from Nadia Korobova, assistant director of international programs; keynote speaker Nicholas Chizek; remarks from Gloria Gibson, executive vice president and provost; as well as dance and musical performances, appetizers and refreshments. Tuesday, November 15 - University Budget Town Hall Meeting
3:30-5 PM - Commons Ballroom
President Benjamin Allen will hold a town hall meeting to present campus and budget updates, reaffirm our strategic priorities, and address questions. The meeting is a way to engage the entire campus in conversation about our budget and priorities as the university moves forward. The entire campus community is invited to attend.
Wednesday, November 16 - UNITUBA Concert
8:00 PM - Davis Hall, Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center
Under the direction of UNI School of Music professor of tuba Jeffrey Funderburk, the UNITUBA Ensembles will offer a fall recital. This event is free and open to the public.
Thursday, November 17 - Spotlight Series: Jazz Panthers and Jazz III
7:30 PM - Bengtson Auditorium, Russell Hall
The UNI Jazz Panthers, under the direction of Robert Washut, will offer a fall concert with UNI Jazz Band III. Repertoire and soloists to be announced. This event is ticketed; students are free.
