Monday, April 2 - CROW (Current Research on Women) Forum
12 PM - Center for Multicultural Education
Kristen McNutt, recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Research Paper on gender, will present “We're Taking Slut Back: SlutWalks, the Rape Script and the Linguistic Reclamation of Slut.” McNutt is a graduate student in Women's and Gender Studies. The WGS program sponsors the Current Research on Women forum series. Faculty, staff, students and the community are invited for informal presentation and discussion.

Tuesday, April 3 - UNI Proud's Annual Drag Ball
8 PM - Maucker Union, Coffeehouse
Come for the most exciting night of the year! See the drag kings and queens, ready to rock your socks off! Be sure to bring your $1 bills to show your appreciation!

Wednesday, April 4 - UNI Proud presents Loren Cameron
Join UNI Proud for two presentations by Loren Cameron, a photographer known for his photos of transsexual people during their gender transition. His presentation is a relaxed and informative way to introduce the topic of transgender. There will be a mini-lecture from 2 to 4 p.m., in the Ballroom, MAU that will focus on gay/bisexual transmen and Cameron's own experiences. His main presentation, focusing on his journey and his models, will be from 7 to 9 p.m., in Lang Hall Auditorium.

Thursday, April 5 - Observatory Show
9 PM - McCollum Science Hall, Room 137
Visit the UNI Observatory to learn about the objects in the night sky and view the planets through the Earth Science telescope. Free and open to the public. Meet near the polar bear outside of 137 McCollum Science Hall before 9 p.m.  Late arrivals will not be admitted.

Thursday, April 5 - UNI Earth Hour
Participate in UNI's Earth Hour by conserving energy. Make the choice to turn off lights in your dorm, apartment or at work for one hour and make a difference. For more information, check out Earth Hour’s official website. Sponsored by: Northern Iowa Student Government, GreenLife, Center for Energy and Environmental Education, Green Project UNI, Northern Iowa Energy Corps, UNI Cycling Club and Student Nature Society.

Friday, Aprll 6 - Spotlight Series: UNI Jazz Band One
7:30 PM - Russell Hall, Bengtson Auditorium
Under the direction of conductor Chris Merz, the UNI Jazz Band One will offer a spring concert as part of the Spotlight Series. Repertoire, guests and soloists will be announced at the event. This event is ticketed (free for students)
