Reminder: Elections and Budget Process

Applicants who wish to have their name on the general election ballot must turn in an application and petition no later than 5 p.m. on Feb. 5 (tomorrow) at the NISG office. Questions can be directed to Election Commissioner Mary Jo Halder at mjhalder@uni.edu.

Student Organizations who wish to apply for funding through the yearly budget process must submit an application by Tuesday, Feb. 8. See http://www.uni.edu/nisg/funding for more information or to submit an application. 

Legislative Update

UNI State Relations Officer Joe Murphy will host a legislative update from noon to 1 p.m., in the Elm Room of Maucker Union. Topics include the state budget process, budget cuts and other policy items affecting UNI during this legislative session.

Speaker Tonight

Speaker Brent Scarpo will present "Journey to a Hate Free Millennium" at 9:30 p.m. in Maucker Union Ballroom. "Journey to a Hate Free Millennium" is a multiple award-winning documentary that centers around true stories taken from national headlines.

Election Meeting Tonight

The last meeting with NISG Election Commissioner Mary Jo Halder will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. in the SIAC Meeting Room. Please contact Election Commissioner Halder at mjhalder@uni.edu if you would like to schedule an alternative meeting time. 

Applicants who wish to have their name on the ballot for the general election must complete an information packet and petition. All applicants are required to meet with Election Commissioner Mary Jo Halder to receive an application. 

Voting will take place through MyUNIverse on Feb. 23-24.

Complete applications are due to the NISG office no later than Feb. 5. Applications received after this will not be accepted.
