Thoughts on November from director Jay Edelnant
A few quick thoughts from Jay Edelnant, the director of our production of David Mamet's November-
I’m listening to the radio and the show is about how the Republican National Committee is withdrawing ads from the media in Pennsylvania and Michigan, conceding the states to the Democrats.
It seems like prophecy that in 2007, David Mamet began his play November with an opening scene where the President, Charles Smith, is furious that his party is no longer buying advertising time for him, except for a few token ads in Ohio and Minnesota.
Instead of asking pundits and reporters to predict our political future and governmental fate, perhaps we should be asking playwrights.
November opens October 25th, and runs for 2 weekends in the Bertha Martin Theatre.
