This talk will consider various ways of electing multiple representatives to a body such as a town council. Many methods, including voting districts and proportional representation, will be discussed but the focus will be on the the effect of the number of votes which a voter may cast (ranging from one to the number of representatives elected) on the ability to elect a minority candidate with at-large voting.

Friday, April 1, 2016 - 8:00 am

Students will display and discuss their projects to advocate for justice, which were supported by a grant from the Reaching for Higher Ground Project. There will be two sessions from 8 to 8:50 a.m. and 9 to 9:50 a.m. Drop in at anytime to view the projects and visit with the teams.
