The Richard O. Jacobson Center for Comprehensive Literacy and the Reading Recovery Program of Iowa will host the fourth annual Jacobson Center and Reading Recovery Literacy Academy - a place of study and training in Partnerships in Comprehensive Literacy and Reading Recovery. Specific strands will be available for: Reading Recovery teachers and teacher leaders; Comprehensive Literacy Model (CLM) coaches and classroom teachers; Comprehensive Intervention Model (CIM) coaches, CIM teachers, and interventionists; and Partnerships in Comprehensive Literacy (PCL) administrators and school leaders. Keynote speakers include Doug Fisher, professor, Educational Leadership at San Diego State University and a teacher leader at Health Sciences High & Middle College; Linda Dorn, professor, Reading Education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock; and Salli Forbes, director of the Jacobson Center and Reading Recovery Program of Iowa. A special celebration will be held to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Reading Recovery in Iowa.
