Joy Cole Corning Distinguished Leadership Lecture Series featuring Mayim Bialik

Actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik will speak as part of the Joy Cole Corning Distinguished Leadership Lecture Series. During her lecture titled "Arts + Sciences = Big Bang," Bialik will discuss her life and career in science and the arts and the importance of both STEM education and the arts as critical components of her life. UNI extols the importance of combining math, science and the arts so students can build confidence, develop motor skills, and hone their decision-making and problem-solving skills. Bialik is well known for her lead role as Blossom Russo in the early-1990s sitcom "Blossom" and now appears regularly as neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler on the "Big Bang Theory" for which she has received three Emmy nominations.
