The Oak Ridge Boys

Monday, July 11, 2016 - 7:00 pm

An American classic. Their unique, close harmony is one of the most recognizable sounds in the music industry. The four-part harmonies and upbeat songs of The Oak Ridge Boys have spawned dozens of Country hits like “Bobbie Sue” and “American Made” as well as pop hits like “Elvira.” Bass Richard Sterban’s bass solo in Elvira is one of the most recognized lines in 80’s pop music. Every time they step before an audience, the Oaks bring four decades of charted singles, and 50 years of tradition, to a stage show widely acknowledged as among the most exciting anywhere.

And just recently, after winning five GRAMMYs, nine GMA Dove Awards, induction into The Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Oak Ridge Boys were recently presented with the Bob Hope Award for Excellence in Entertainment by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society – recognizing their work with The American Legion. The group accepted the award on August 8, 2015 at the Nashville Salutes Gala surrounded by 25 Medal of Honor recipients.
