"The Power of Line: Prints of the European and American Etching Revival from the University of Iowa Museum of Art"

Of the 43 works included in the exhibition are etchings by Whistler, Moran, Hayden. Parrish and Freer. The exhibition was made possible by the UIMA Legacies for Iowa Collections Sharing Program and supported exclusively by The Matthew Bucksbaum Family. The exhibition was co-curated by Dr. Joni Kinsey of the UI School of Art & Art History in conjunction with her students and UIMA Chief Curator Kathleen A. Edwards. Gallery doors will open after Dr. Kinsey’s lecture on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. in KAB 111, and a reception will follow. All events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mon. through Thurs.; noon to 5 p.m., Fri. through Sat.; and by appointment. The gallery will be closed Nov. 23 through Dec. 1 for the Thanksgiving Break.
