Take the "It's On Us" pledge; computer stations will be available from 8:30-10 a.m. and 2:30-5 p.m. Those taking the pledge will receive an "It's On Us" sticker.

Wednesday, November 5, 2014 - 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Beyond Your Bachelor's UNI Graduate Programs Open House, sponsored by the Graduate College and Continuing and Distance Education, will showcase the UNI graduate programs available on-campus and at a distance. Graduate program faculty will provide information and answer questions about their programs. Information on support services, such as financial aid will be available.

Thursday, November 6, 2014 - 12:00 pm
Faculty and staff representatives from the College of Education and the Women and Gender Studies Program will sponsor a Day of Solidarity gathering. This gathering is for all faculty, staff and students who desire to stand in support of students and others who were victimized by the racist, sexist, homophobic and other offensive comments anonymously posted to the social media site Yik Yak. We invite all who are ready and willing to stand up against oppressive language and actions to wear black on Nov. 6.
T-shirts to wear for the event can be purchased by emailing kerri.clopton@uni.edu with your size by Wednesday, Oct. 29. The cost of the shirt will be approximately $8. The shirts will say "We Can Do Better" (front) and "Panther Pride (noun): the feelng one gets from being a part of a diverse edcuational community that respects, supports, encourages and values the contributions of all its members while pushing all to rise out of their ignorance" (back).

Wednesday, November 12, 2014 - 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Staff from the Recycling and Reuse Technology Transfer Center (RRTTC) will be located at a table in Maucker Union across from Chats. Students will have the opportunity to sign a pledge to take one step toward being greener in their daily lives. Students pledging to be more sustainable will receive a gift from the RRTTC. Staff will also talk about what it means to be green and provide ideas on how to be more sustainable.

Tuesday, November 18, 2014 - 8:00 pm

AFTERDARK UNI will feature Joe White speaking on the topic “Is Jesus Relevant today?” Performing at the event will be Thi’sl and Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors.

A perfect way to celebrate the holidays. Come join the UNI School of Music choral ensembles and orchestra in celebrating the joys of the season. Enjoy holiday favorites and majestic, winter-inspired works. This event is ticketed. For tickets, call 319-273-4TIX.

The Eighth Annual Graduate Symposium on April 1 will showcase the research and creative work of graduate students. Included will be poster presentations, oral presentations, and creative performances which will be judged by graduate faculty.
