A documentary that investigates the raging legal battle and best arguments of pro-life and pro-choice ideologies in America over the past 40 years.  Includes testimony from secular and religious sources, feminists, rape victims, pro-life speakers, pro-choice speakers, and abortion survivors as well.  Film screening with discussion to follow.

Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Come play 80's Themed Volleyball for a chance to win $20 gift cards. Players will also receive free neon headbands, glasses and gatorade at the event. Registration takes place prior to the competition; teams of six should include at least two people of each gender.

Friday, October 24, 2014 - 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Halloween fun for elementary aged children! Join The Honors Student Advisory Board for a Boo-tiful evening of fun at the Honors Cottage.Cookies will be provided. Come in your best Halloween costume and play some fun themed indoor games provided by the University Honors Student Advisory Board.

Make A Difference Day is celebrated each year on the fourth Saturday in October. Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, it is the nation’s largest day of community service. There will be a variety of volunteer opportunities in Cedar Falls throughout the day. Contact Katherine Polit (politk@uni.edu) with questions.

Monday, October 27, 2014 - 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Kick off your Halloween week with "Ghostly Goods" in the Hemisphere lounge. Ghostly Goods include white & chocolate cupcakes and a popcorn bar with pretzels and M&Ms. 

Tuesday, October 28, 2014 (All day)

Participants will create an account on goosechase.com for free. Each team will complete 25 missions, which involves taking pictures. The teams who complete the most missions will recieve prizes. 

1st place - Keurig Coffee Maker

2nd place - Panther Apparel

3rd place - $10 Bookstore gift cards

The Spooky Scavenger Hunt will take place all day and all over campus. 

Tuesday, October 28, 2014 - 8:00 am

Participants work through missions on a phone app called Goosechase.  Each mission is completed by taking a photo at a specific location or with a specific person/thing.  The 2 person team that completes the most missions will receive prizes!  The 2nd and 3rd place teams will also receive smaller prizes.

Timeflies will perform at UNI. Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct. 6. Student tickets are $20, plus fees (limit 2); public tickets are $30, plus fees. Tickets must be purchased at the McLeod or Gallagher Bluedorn ticket offices. Tickets will be sold in the Maucker Union at the Essentials front desk from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. every Wednesday prior to the concert.

Alpha Psi Omega will host the showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.  Doors open at 10:30 p.m.; show starts at 11 p.m.Admission is free for UNI students with ID; $1 or a canned food item for others. Costumes are highly encouraged. Food donations benefit the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo.

Friday, October 31, 2014 - 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm

The International Student Association presents Zombie Masquerade. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Enjoy music that will keep the zombies dancing all night long. There will be a best costume contest, games, prizes and refreshments.

Tuesday, November 4, 2014 - 7:00 pm

Society for Human Resource Management will host Michael Kaplan, an operations manager at Johnson Controls. He will discuss the interview process, both as the interviewer and interviewee. Question and answer time will follow; the meeting is open to all majors.

Thursday, November 6, 2014 - 7:00 pm

Campus Activities Board will show "Guardians of the Galaxy." There will be two showings at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Free popcorn and pop will be served.

Tuesday, November 11, 2014 - 9:00 pm

Polar Bear Run, sponsored by CATS, is a one mile walk/run throughout campus, free to participants who donate clothing and/or nonperishable food items the evening of the event, there will be a raffle after the run. All donations will be given to the House of Hope and Northeast Iowa Food Bank.

Tuesday, November 18, 2014 - 7:00 pm

SHRM will host a human resources panel consisting of three professionals holding a variety of HR positions. Questions can be from an interviewer's point of view or the candidate's point of view. For example, when should a job candidate talk about pay in an interview? The meeting is open to all majors.
