UNI SHRM will host a social for students interested in a human resource field. Individuals from all areas of human resources will discuss their careers, what their job entails and what they like/dislike. Refreshments will be provided.

UNI Dance Marathon will host its 4th annual "Big Event." Registration is $25 and includes a t-shirt, free entertainment and two meals. Register at www.unidancemarathon.com. The fundraising goal is $225,000.

SHRM will host a panel of human resource professionals who will answer questions about their jobs, the industry, and more.

Participants will make literacy kits to donate, pet toys, write letters to soldiers and tie fleece blankets for local children's hospitals.

Wednesday, March 11, 2015 - 7:00 pm

The speaker at this event will present real-life leadership skills and how students can utilize them as leaders in organizations as well as in the classroom and workplace.

Thursday, March 12, 2015 - 7:00 pm

Campus Activities Board (CAB) presents "Into the Woods." Caramel popcorn, chex mix, puppy chow and pop will be available.

Honors Week is designed to highlight and promote events your society is already hosting, such as elections, recognition and induction ceremonies, or end of the year events taking place during the week of April 6.  Honors Week also includes activities to bring everyone together, such as volunteer projects, film viewings, the Honors Ball and research presentations.

Relay for Life is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the UNI Colleges Against Cancer chapter. The 12-hour event will raise money for cancer research. Participants will celebrate those who have beat cancer, remember those who have lost their battle and fight back so cancer no longer exists in our world. Entertainment will include a live band, bounce houses, silent auction, photo booth, contests and speeches by those who have been affected by cancer.

The Hispanic Latino Student Union (HLSU) will host a Latino Ball. Music and dances include Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue and reggaeton. The theme of the dance is Casino Royale. 

Sunday, April 12, 2015 - 1:00 pm

Participiate in the UNI Out of the Darkness Campus Walk and join the effort to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy and support survivors of suicide loss. As the leader in the fight against suicide, AFSP has set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20 percent by 2025. Check-in begins at 1 p.m. with the walk beginning at 2 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m.

The UNI International Dance Theatre presents their annual spring performance. Experience cultures from all around the world through multicultural, folk and ballroom dance styles. Enjoy other dance styles such as contemporary, jazz and tap. This show is appropriate for all ages. Admission is $8 for the general public; $4 for all students and senior citizens.
