This two-day camp is geared for emerging section leaders, drum majors, and colorguard members of your high school program. Participants will be led by UNI staff and students through participatory activities, allowing each track a leadership session.
Drum Major: with focus on basics and advanced conducting as well as marching fundamental commands and leadership skills.
Colorguard: with focus on beginning and advanced basics, tosses, marching, and movement. A rifle track is also available for participants. Two areas of focus will be offered: beginner and advanced.
Section Leader: a focus on the principles of good leadership, designed for section leaders and other student leaders. Discussion and activities to help students lead music and marching sectionals, clean drill formations, and build stronger teams within their sections and the entire band.
