Teaching Iowa Students and the Changing Demographics in Iowa

Facilitator Mark Grey, sociology, criminology and anthropology, will present and discuss how to best teach current Iowa students and how to prepare for Iowa's changing demographics. More than 90% of UNI's students are from the state of Iowa; however, Iowa's demographics are changing. According to "Statewide Population Trends," children of a race other than white and/or who are hispanic represent 21.1% of Iowa's newborn to 5 years old population.
