The Vagina Monologues

Sunday, February 16, 2014 - 2:00 pm

The Vagina Monologues is an award-winning play based on V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace, the piece celebrates women’s sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For more than a decade, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public and brought a deeper consciousness to the conversation around ending violence against women and girls. Admission is $5 and open to the public.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to Cedar Valley Friends of the Family, which is a non-profit organization. The mission of Cedar Valley Friends of the Family is to provide safe shelter, confidential services and housing assistance to individuals in crisis due to homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault. Through prevention education and community engagement we seek a future free of violence and homelessness.
