Education:
  •  BA in English as a foreign language and another in teaching from the University of Tarapacá, Arica, Chile.
  • Currently pursuing an MA in TESOL/ Spanish at the University of Northern Iowa.
International Experience:

I taught English in Chile for five years at elementary and high school levels and in an institute for adults. Here in The United States, I have been teaching Spanish at a college level at UNI and also English to refugees and immigrants.

Why do you enjoy working with International Students:
I feel that I share with my students the same experience of learning a whole new language, making me more eager to help them. Additionally, to teach people from all over the word is exciting and challenging at the same time, and makes you learn even more about different cultures which I enjoy a lot. Moreover, being able to help them to accomplish their goals is the best reward that a teacher could ask and at the CIEP is a daily goal for us.
