ENGLISH 3186 Studies in Technical Writing

Investigate the theories and principles of the technical communication field. Focus on effective document design of technical information from the perspective of subject matter experts whose writing is a component of, but does not define, their job descriptions. Topics include rhetorical analysis, writing processes and specific communicative purposes such as instruction and/or presentation.
