Investigates the theories and principles of the technical communication field. Focus on effective document design of technical information from the perspective of subject matter experts whose writing is a component of, but does not define, their job descriptions. Topics include rhetorical analysis, writing processes and specific communicative purposes such as instruction and/or presentation.
