Dr. Leslie Williams is the Dean of Students. She assists students and families in times of crisis or concern, provides assistance to faculty in managing issues, administers the Student Conduct Code and oversees New Student Programs, Student Disability Services, the LGBT* Center, Student Assistance Outreach, Military and Veteran Services, and Student Wellness Services.

Kristin coordinates retention and student success initiatives, including peer mentoring, the MAP-Works early intervention program, and success coaching for first-year students. She collaborates with faculty members on the implementation of First-Year Only (FYO) course communities, provides individual assistance to at-risk students, and co-chairs at the university's Transfer Council. Kristin also works with campus partners to facilitate the Jump Start extended orientation program, Transfer Welcome events, and Family Weekend.

Ashley Brickley is the Student Disability Services coordinator. In her role, Ashley serves as the point of contact for students, parents, faculty, and staff regarding student accessibility and accommodations on campus, collaborates with students and faculty regarding the implementation of academic accommodations, and oversees management and operation of the Student Disability Services Office.

As the Disability Specialist for Student Disability Services, Brittany assists students by determining eligibility for accommodations, providing challenge and support through the office's Weekly Mentoring program, overseeing the conversion of course material into accessible format, and offering assistive technology resources and outreach events.

As the Department Secretary for Student Disability Services, Karen is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the office including; ordering supplies, managing the office flow of students, faculty, staff and community, processing Reader and Scribe request for exams and reconciling the SDS budget.

Alyssa serves as the graduate assistant with Student Disability Services working primarily one-on-one with clients enrolled in the Weekly Mentoring Program to assist with development of time management, organizational, prioritization and goal setting skills. She also creates the newsletters, assists in administration of academic accommodations, and organizes educational outreach events.

Norman supports military members, veterans, and their families at UNI as they transition between military duty, college, and new careers. He is committed to faculty and staff education, on and off campus, resource networking, advocacy, and listening to each student to ensure that each military affiliated students' voices is heard and they are empowered to achieve success in class and beyond.

Emily serves as a resource to LGBT* students and their allies as the main point of contact for the LGBT* Center. Emily manages and maintains the Safe Zone program, coordinates the Center's annual events, including Lavender Graduation and Rainbow Reception, and works with students one on on.

Nicole serves as a Student Conduct Administrator by performing student conduct hearings and determining appropriate sanctions. She assists in the development and implementation of new student orientation programs and other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Dean of Students, Coordinator of New Students Programs, or Coordinator of Student Assistance and Outreach.

Mark directs student wellness programming and services, including health promotion, substance abuse and violence intervention.  He collaborates with campus and community partners on efforts to address priority student health and wellness issues that impact student retention and success.  Mark chairs the Healthy Campus Coalition and co-chairs the Campus Violence Prevention Team and Victim Services Team.  Additionally, he provides individual substance abuse assistance to students and works closely with key violence prevention initiatives at the university.

Joan provides a range of advocacy and support for students who have been victims of relationship violence, stalking, harassment, physical and sexual assault.  She also provides support and guidance to individual and groups of students regarding enhancement of personal health behaviors, particularly related to eating.  Joan coordinates Peer Health Education, which provides programs specific to priority health and wellness issues for college students.
