Resolved: It appears the eLearning database was simply turned off. It was started again around 7 a.m. CDT. We are waiting results of the investigation as to why the database was off. We restarted the application on both nodes and successfully completed all post-restart checks. Access to the UNI eLearning System was restored to users at 7:45 a.m. CDT.
On Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. CDT, the UNI eLearning System will be UNAVAILABLE for an extended period to perform application server maintenance and to move the database to new hardware and operating system.
The UNI eLearning System experienced an unexpected outage around 3:00 p.m. CDT on Thursday, May 8, 2014. The outage was caused by an unusual huge spike in database activity most likely caused by one or more background jobs. The actual outage was brief (3-5 minutes) however users experienced system slowness until approximately 3:20 p.m. We apologize for the inconveniences this outage may have caused you.
