An outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 6:00 AM CDT to 7:00 AM CDT to install OS patches and update Java on the application servers. The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

An outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 5:30 AM CDT to 7:00 AM CDT to install server OS patches and application software patches. The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

An outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 6:30 AM CDT to 7:00 AM CDT to restart the application servers for setting changes to take affect. The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

UNI Students registered for Fall 2012 academic classes:
Logging into UNI eLearning: Login instructions are located at: http://www.uni.edu/elearning/login-instructions-all-uni-users Your username and password for UNI eLearning is set to your CatID. Use the same username and password you use for UNI Email and MyUNIverse.
If you have trouble logging in: Try logging into MyUNIverse. For security reasons, your CatID password expires every 90 days. If your CatID has expired, you will first need to log into MyUNIverse with your username and expired password. Once you have changed your password and can successfully log into MyUNIverse, use the same username and new password to log into UNI eLearning.
Need Assistance with CatID: If you need assistance with your CatID username or password, contact the Computer Consulting Center (CCC) via one of the options listed at http://www.uni.edu/its/support . A self-service feature is available that allows users the ability to securely reset their own CatID password at any time. Access to Fall 2012 eLearning courses: Use of the UNI eLearning System is based on the instructor's discretion so not all of your courses will have an eLearning component. The instructor must make an eLearning course "available" for it to appear in a student's eLearning course list. If you have questions about an eLearning component for one of your classes, please contact the Instructor of the class for more information.

The UNI Panopto server (http://panopto.uni.edu) will be offline and unavailable beginning at 8:00 AM CDT on Thursday, August 16, 2012 to perform an upgrade. The system will be back online by 11:59 PM CDT Friday, August 17, 2012. Users will be unable to create, edit, or view Panopto videos and all Panopto content within UNI eLearning courses will be unavailable during this outage. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about the Panopto upgrade.

An outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Friday, August 10, 2012 from 6:00 AM CDT to 7:00 AM CDT to install server OS patches, install "SP9 PatchSet 1", and increase application RAM. The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

Fall 2012 UNI eLearning academic courses were populated with students at 8:30 AM CDT this morning, Monday, August 6, 2012. Fall 2012 student enrollment will be imported into the UNI eLearning System daily, so all enrollment changes (adds/drops) will be automatically processed. Any changes entered in the Student Information System by 5:00 PM will be processed the following day.
UNI Instructors: Bb9 eLearning courses are created in an "unavailable" state. This means an Instructor has access to the course, but students do not see the course listed in their My Courses module until the instructor makes the course available. Instructions for making your course "available" to students are published at: http://www.uni.edu/elearning/how-do-i-make-my-bb-learn-9-courses-availab... . No action is required for instructors that choose not to use the UNI eLearning System.
UNI Students: You will not see a course listed in your My Courses module unless the Instructor has made the eLearning course available.

Update: The Service Pack 9 install is complete; however, we are still configuring settings and CAS. We apologize for the inconvenience of exceeding the maintenance window. We expect the UNI eLearning System to be available by 3:00 PM CDT.
An extended outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 6:00 AM CDT to 1:00 PM CDT. This outage is necessary to install and configure Service Pack 9, upgrade the database, implement CAS, install publisher building blocks, etc. The Blackboard Learn 9.1 UNI eLearning System will not be available during this period.

With the installation of Service Pack 9 (SP9), there is a possibility that you may receive old or outdated notifications from the UNI eLearning System (email@example.com). This would apply to only those users who had previously setup email notifications.
Service Pack 9 contains numerous patches; some of which improved the collection and distribution of course notifications. We apologize for the confusion of the old/outdated notifications; however, we did not want to clear all notifications prior to installing SP9 and risk deleting legitimate notifications.
